Transcribed from the Parish Registers and donated to the Dorset OPC Project by Kim Parker

Arranged according to the Gregorian Calendar, with the Julian year indicated to the left of the forward slash (/) in those years when the Julian Calendar, which ran from March 25th to March 24th, was in use (i.e. prior to 1752, 1751 being the transition year).

Since the early parish register has been lost, the BTs have been consulted. Returns survive for 1621, 1637, 1639, 1670-1, 1711, 1723, 1726-8, 1764, 1766, 1770 1781-3, 1791-8, 1802-3, 1805-6 & 1808-13. Please note that some of the BT Returns, such as the 1621 Return, are 'nil returns' in that they reported that there were no christenings, marriages or burials in the parish that year.
