In the name of God Amen, I William DIKE of the parish of Haselbury Bryant in the County of Dorset, carpenter, being sound in mind, memory and of a perfect good understanding, do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament, in this manner and form following (that is to say)
I give and demise unto my daughter Elner, the wife of James MOORE, my cottage garden, together with the household goods to be by her freely and lawfully enjoyed during her natural life and impower her to give it afterwards at her disposal as she shall think fit (except the clock which I give to Elizabeth RAMSEY)
And I do utterly revoke, disannul and make void all former Wills, declaring this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament.
In witness, I William DIKE, the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this the twenty third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eleven.

Sealed, signed and delivered by the Testator William DIKE in the presence of us who at his request and in the presence of each other are witnesses of his so doing.

On the 12th day of August 1812, the within written Will of William DIKE deceased, was proved by the oath of Elner, the wife of James MOORE, the lawful daughter to whom Letters of Administration was granted, she being first duly sworn, well and faithfully to Administer the same to exhibit a true and perfect inventory thereof, unto the Registry of the Court of the Archdeacon of Dorset and to render a just account therein when thereto lawfully and that the whole of the goods, chattles and credits of the same William DIKE deceased, is not amount in value to the sum of £50.
