In the name of God, Amen I Thomas HILL of Hasselbury Bryan in the County of Dorsett, Loom Weaver, being sick of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, due hereby ordaine this my Last Will and Testament, in manner following.
First I bequeath my soule to Allmighty God, hoping by the merrits, death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ, to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sinns and to inherit everlasting life.
First I bequeath my body to the earth, to be decently buried.
Item. I give to my wife Mary HILL, all moneys what forever I have to dispose of at her will and pleasure
Item. I give unto Mary HILL my wife, the use of my household goods during her naturall life but in case shee should be in want, my Will is to dispose and sell the same or any part or piece thereof, att the discretion of my friends, in trust hereafter named.
Item. I give and bequeath unto Nicholas HILL of Hasselbury Bryan and unto Nicholas STAYNER, son of the same, with all my land and tenement with ye apurtenances thereto belonging in trust for my wife.
And my Will is and I do hereby give full power to my trustees above named, to sell, mortgage or otherwise dispose of all the before mentioned premises, or any part or --- thereof for discharging or paying of any dues or debts by me contracted or becoming due or for the better mainteynance and substance? of Mary HILL my wife.
Item. My Will is that if any -- or -- of the before mentioned household goods or lands shall be left and remaine after ye decease of Mary my wife, I give unto William FFILL? of Halton? my next heire and I doe hereby revoke, disanuall and make void all other Wills and Testaments by mee formerly made.
In witness whereof, I have hearunto sett my hand and seale the seaventh day of January in the Year of our Lord God, 1701.
